Wefunder helps everyday people invest in the startups they love.
We've helped thousands of startups and small businesses – including flying cars, space rockets, breweries, Hollywood studios, and potential Ebola cures – raise over a billion dollars.
We're a Public Benefit Corporation with a mission to revitalize capitalism and keep the American dream alive. GDP growth is slowing. Wealth inequality is increasing. Entrepreneurship is dying across America; falling from 10.6% to 3.6% among those under 30 since 1989. We're reversing these trends by funding more deserving businesses across all of America, not solely tech startups in Silicon Valley.
We're a team of founder types: enjoy autonomy, responsibility, the opportunity to learn, and no red tape. Just make it happen.
Your Role
- Assist with back-end money operations. Help ensure that founders and Wefunder are paid accurately and on time.
- Track a robust pipeline of companies—stay up to date on their status and know them like the back of your hand.
- Serve as an internal resource for all payment-related issues and processes, understanding how and when payments run and what can affect them.
- Support the Wefunder system through reconciling, processing, and optimizing how the team handles funds.
- Help improve disbursement and revenue processes so they become faster, more reliable, and more accurate.
Skills & Experience
- You have experience supporting back-end financial or payment operations, with attention to accuracy and timeliness.

- You’re a clear communicator who can collaborate with internal teams and escalate issues when needed.
- You thrive in ambiguity. You’re comfortable learning quickly and asking a lot of questions. You prefer being thrown in the deep end. You aspire to learn every small detail about the fundraising and funding process.

- You’re highly accountable and reliable. If you say you’ll do something, you’ll get it done.
